A Field of Dreams

I knew from the minute we received the first email message, Amber & Ken were going to be in the Aspen Family Hall of Fame and it is with extreme pride I can finally share it some of the beauty we created with you thanks to the graciousness and very talented Anne from Annabis Photography & our wonderful bride and groom.

Amber was so relaxed throughout the whole planning experience and yet she was extremely organized, which I loved because it made my job as her floral & event designer a breeze, I just had to do my thing and deliver the goods so to speak to this adventurous baseball loving couple and I couldn't wait to create for them!

Ambers first email hooked me right away, " I have to admit, I'm a bride that dreamed my whole life of a marriage, rather than of wedding details, so these boards might seem a little lean. I'm a pretty simple girl, who love, love, loves flowers and plants, but am engaged to a very enthusiastic party animal who has grand ideas therefore, we are trying to 'marry' our two personalities into this big day. It has been an adventure, to say the least! "

And so it began....a beautiful connection with another incredible Aspen Florist Family!

Introducing Behind the blooms....

Creating for our clients is the greatest honour we could ever ask for, we know our clients feel the love behind the creations because they tell us often but I recently thought how cool would it be if we interviewed some of our Aspen Family so we could help future Aspen Family get the inside scoop from past brides and hear their thoughts on what the experience with Aspen is all about....scroll on to see what our beautiful couple had to say!

I asked Amber & Ken why they chose Aspen?

Browsing beautiful images of florals on Aspen's website and socials led us to Lisa and the Aspen family, but the deal was sealed when Lisa sent me such a detailed proposal outlining what Aspen could offer. The proposal made sure to note the overall feeling that my husband and I were working towards for ourselves and our guests, our colours, and favourite blooms. As a detail-oriented bride, it was exactly what I was looking for and the proposal also helped us to pull together other elements of our celebration through the planning process.

What was most important to you when you were looking for your florist?

Florals were the main decor for our celebration and therefore, we wanted them to reflect our simple style, while still offering big impact in a large ballroom. We knew that we wanted to work with someone that we could trust, could offer creativity while also keeping to our preferred style, and also someone who we felt connected to. Lisa makes you feel a part of the Aspen family, right from day one.

Describe your experience with us, before, during and after the event.

From the moment that we reached out to connect, to the days following our wedding, we had the most lovely experience with Aspen. The attention to detail that was paid to the planning and delivery of our wedding florals was also felt personally, by my husband and I. Lisa prepared organized and thorough information, was available to us through the planning process, and she was so fun to work with! When the Aspen team arrived in my bridal suite the morning of our wedding to drop off our bouquets, it was with so much energy and kindness (and this was after hours of set-up!). The work that Aspen does is beautiful, but beyond that, it is an exceptional business supporting couples as they celebrate one of their most special days!

Ken and I are so thankful to Lisa and the Aspen team. Based on our exceptional experience with Aspen, we are pleased to share how happy we are with other couples and families considering Aspen for themselves.
