An Aspen Wedding to Remember

Throwback to a hot summer day in July 2016 when we created a dream floralscape for the sweetest bride and groom at the lovely Carvers Cottage in North Pickering. Alyson and Matt envisioned their fairy tale wedding in Napa California featuring hints of their Paris engagement. We were honoured to turn their floral dreams into their reality right here in Pickering ON. Alyson was every florists dream to work with, she wanted to see florals everywhere she turned and believe me no detail was overlooked. Her maids wore beautiful dresses in shades of greys and purple while Alyson wore a stunning Vogue Sposa Gown in soft taupe with a champagne overlay. The florals represented all of Alys' favourites from the softest of peonies and Juliet David Austin garden roses to ranunculus, clematis and dahlias, southern Texas Smilax and lush floral garlands, this french garden - napa valley inspired wedding encapsulated beauty at every turn. Aly has a natural gift when it comes to styling and planning. She desperately wanted her reception under the trees and lights, however we all know Ontarios weather can be quite unpredictable in July so a tent was a must have to ensure the comfort of her guests. With a little help from our friends at a tent company south of the border and some CD ingenuity we brought the trees inside and turned her beautiful sail tent poles into a gorgeous outdoor setting with 15 ft high birch trees soaring above the dance floor. Guest were left speechless with the stunning reception details, beautiful harvest tables and cross back chairs, lush garden style centrepieces and bud vases, vintage dinnerware, sweet stands, tubs crates, chalkboards, furniture and so much more. This wedding had it all and at the source behind it who handled every planning decision alongside Aly was her incredibly loving and talented mother Joanie! Not only has this bride become a dear friend, we're excited to announce she will be working with us in 2019 as a styling specialist for our clients!
